Edinburgh

I made it. Short naps in the trains with my beautiful neck pillow. Forgot to tell you that the toilet talked to me when I went to the bathroom on the train. Told me no to not flush any nappies, sanitary towels, paper towels, gum, old phones, unpaid bills, junk mail, your ex's sweater, hopes, dreams or goldfish down the toilet. Laughed a little too hard. British woman's voice telling me that while I pee was really funny.

Walking to the hotel, it started to pour. Perfect. I walked in and there were no signs pointing to any reception. I walk down some stairs and a guy is doing laundry. I asked him where the reception was and he just told me it's closed. He said come back in an hour when reception and check in happens. My phone was dying and I was dripping wet, I asked him if there is a place I can wait. He said no. I asked him where the nearest grocery store was and he said, I don't know. Wow, you are such a great help. Seriously, not one helpful thing came out of his mouth. It wasn't even like he was saying rude, because he was smiling at me. Probably laughing at my smeared makeup and my hair dripping. So he told me he could lock up my bags while I leave for an hour. Still pouring outside, phone dying, and no map. Cool. I'm waiting right by the door trying to look for a store on my phone quickly and literally right before I take a step to walk outside, he asks me for my passport and checks me in. You suck dude. Gives me a key and everything, like "just kidding".

Charge my phone and clean up. Head into town. I basically got food and saw the Scott monument, the castle from afar, and went into the National Gallery. I decided no to pay that ridiculous amount for the castle that is on a gigantic hill, I'd have to climb. Maybe I'll change my mind for tomorrow, I don't know. I am going to climb the monument because I didn't know you could until I was back in my hotel room. There is a botanic garden place and a Modern museum I might look into for tomorrow as well. After eating and showering, I took a long nap after some Netflix. Now I am here, blogging.

Also, my hotel shower is really cool and scary at the same time.
